Peraton- Cyber Systems Analyst
Peraton is seeking an experienced cyber systems analyst to lead the NIWC Pacific, Navy Cyber Situational Awareness (NCSA) operations team. The ops team is critical to the success of the NCSA team and works closely with the development team to field system updates and implement changes. The team lead works closely with the government leads to ensure accuracy for the Fleet and timeliness with meeting NCSA deliverables.
Peraton provides ongoing support to the Navy’s cyber situational awareness platform: Navy Cyber Situational Awareness (NCSA). This effort provides support for system engineering, product development, research, testing, hardware and software integration, software development, deployment of material and non-material solutions. Support includes the following:
- Improve cyber analytics to incorporate mission and functional logic; correlation of events to provide rapid and superior capability to the warfighter; cyber visualization to enhance cyber environment perception; and situational comprehension
- Use Agile Development Operations (DevOps) to conduct research and development; analyze and recommend system engineering improvements for enhanced cyber hardware and software concepts; allow for cyber fusion and advanced analytical capability; assure cyber operators faster discovery and improved predictive capability on existing cyber hardware and software; develop integrated system solutions; and provide improved cyber monitoring, assessment, planning and response capabilities.
- Provide systems engineering; cyber security engineering; systems admin support; testing; and certification and accreditation expertise to develop and maintain all variants of prototype; testing and deployed systems.
The ops team is fast paced and requires a fast learner and an energetic lead. The team includes a mix of contractors and government team members and is a full time onsite position at NIWC Pacific San Diego, CA.

Experience/Education:
Requires a HS 12-14, BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
- Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required
- Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level II required
- Strong knowledge of scripting, programming or application programming interface
- Skills to develop extensibility to support diverse analytics for multiple use cases
- Knowledge of military and commercial data transports
- Experience in designing solution sets that operate in a low computational provide and in isolated environments
- Experience developing capabilities that quickly process and provide to end user critical data requests
- Experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining large-scale data analytics techniques and technologies to include indexing techniques, information retrieval, data frameworks, machine learning, predictive analytics, data mining and statistical analysis
- Experience in developing analytics supporting cyber security use cases that supports decision aids at the strategic, operational and tactical levels of maritime warfare
- Experience or working knowledge of Azure, Splunk, and DevOps preferred but not required
- Previous experience working in a collaborative government lab environment

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
